Andy Serkis, or as you might be more familiar, Gollum, is making some big moves in Hollywood. Later this year, Serkis will begin shooting an entirely motion captured Animal Farm adaptation and according to The Hollywood Reporter he will direct a live action Jungle Book for Warner Bros.

Initially, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel) was slated to helm the project, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. The idea of Ron Howard directing the movie was also briefly entertained.

Disney also has a live Jungle Book production in the works that is set to be directed by Jon Favreau, with Idris Elba voicing Shera Khan.

Looks like we were over-reacting when we thought No Strings Attached and Friends With Benefits were very similar.
