Mass-Stabbing at Train Station in China Leaves Dozens Dead, Over 100 Injured

No motive for the attack has been identified.

Authorities in China say a group of men armed with knives attacked a train station today, killing 27 people and leaving another 109 injured. 

According to the Associated Press, the incident took place at the Kunming Railway Station in Yunnanprovince. Though the Associated Press adds that local television station K6 said a number of the attackers were shot by police and victims were taken to area hospitals, police in Kunming offered very few details regarding the attack. 

The motive for the attack, which is being called one of China's most deadly in recent history, remains unclear. We will update this story here with more information as it develops.
