Whereas the first film in The Purge series focused on a family trapped in their home with intruders threatening their lives on the one night a year that all crime (including murder) is completely legal, its successor, The Purge: Anarchy, promises a different perspective: Instead of taking place inside of a home, we'll finally get to see the action going on in the streets during the Purge, and what it means for a young couple who find themselves stranded in the middle of downtown LA just as the night begins. Spoiler alert: Judging by this new trailer for the film, they're pretty much screwed.
The Purge: Anarchy, which is directed by original Purge director James DeMonaco, is set to hit theaters on June 20, 2014. You can check out the trailer above.
