Authorities in Connecticut say a substitute teacher was arrested for allegedly masturbating in the hallway of a local high school.

NBC Connecticut reports that a teacher's assistant discovered Michael Luecke, 72, lying on the ground in the hallway of Westhill High School in Stamford, Conn. on Wednesday morning. Initially thinking he was injured, she was shocked to discover Luecke with his hands in his pants, pleasuring himself. Court papers say that Luecke, a substitute music teacher, told the woman he "had to find somewhere else to do that" after she chastised him.

The woman informed school officials, who summoned police. Luecke was taken out of his classroom, and attempted to tell authorities that he was simply fixing his pants. He was arrested and charged with breach of peace, public indecency and risk of injury to a minor.

Luecke was fired and will undergo a mental health evaluation while incarcerated.
