Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are set to write and direct Console Wars, an adaptation of the upcoming book by Blake J. Harris.

The movie is being developed at Sony Pictures by Scott Rudin.

The story focuses on how scrappy upstart Sega took on the juggernaut that was Nintendo in a rivalry that shaped console gaming in the 1990's.

Harris' book, Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation, is scheduled to release in August 2014. It will be published by Atlantic Books.
