A stunned Rob Ford was issued a ticket for jaywalking by Vancouver police last night.

"I am in shock," the Toronto mayor reportedly said. "I was just walking across the street about 200 feet from my hotel when I was approached by an officer and told I was jaywalking. I couldn’t believe it. I said to them 'Am I under arrest?'"

The Toronto Sun said that Ford, who was "perplexed" by the incident, was walking to a Chinese restaurant when an officer approached him. Ford was in Vancouver to attend the funeral of friend and former staffer David Price's mother. After explaining that they had "crossed the street against a red light," the officer gave he and Price $109 tickets.

Ford should know that law enforcement everywhere is literally watching his every step.
