Nearly two weeks after he declared that he would not directThe Hateful Eight upon discovering that the just-finished first draft of the script had leaked to agencies (and shortly after he filed a lawsuit against Gawker Media for posting the script), new rumors suggest that Quentin Tarantino may be planning to move ahead with the project after all. According to Uproxx, The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider on Twitter posted a rumor that Tarantino has reached out to Samuel L. Jackson despite having said that he wouldn't move forward with the project:

As Uproxx proceeds to point out, Sneider added that he hasn't spoken to Jackson's or Tarantino's reps, and he tweeted afterwards that he was asked not to officially report on the news he received from his source:

So, at the very least—keep hope alive?
