Don't Run Red Lights with Illegal Materials in Your Vehicle

On Tuesday night, the NYPD pulled over a car in Brooklyn that ran a red light and found a numerous incriminating devices. 

After noticing a car driving "recklessly," police stopped the vehicle. To their surprise, they heard NYPD radio transmissions after approaching it. According to a press release from the NYPD, Officer Sarah Sweigart also spotted a passenger in the back of the car attempt to kick something under the seat. When the three passengers were asked to exit the vehicle, police found a loaded .38 Caliber revolver and .40 Caliber Glock. 

Kea Kelly, 23; Soto Benito, 25; and Aaron Batista, 41 were all taken into custody, and police learned that one of them had been sought for allegedly impersonating a police officer last month. All three were ultimately charged with criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of  a radio device, menacing, harassing and criminal impersonation of a police officer.
