We're all well-aware that Kiefer Sutherland has replaced David Hayter as the voice of Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, but it seems that the 24 actor may also be expanding into other video game franchises.

IGN is reporting that the actor has been involved, in some capacity, to an upcoming, as-yet announced Mortal Kombat video game. Sutherland was discussing his role in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain when he dropped this little bombshell.

Sutherland said, “I did Mortal Kombat, and that's such a huge game, but it’s so not like MGSV."

Sutherland's statements seem to suggest that the mystery Mortal Kombat title has already been completed. Sutherland went on to say that he finished working on the Mortal Kombat title "pretty quickly compared to [MGS5].”

No word on Sutherland's role, or which character he may be voicing. We're calling it now: Scorpion.
