If you haven't yet started watching House of Cards' second season on Netflix just yet (and are opposed to reading any spoilers about it), DO NOT READ FORWARD. THIS IS A SPOILER ALERT.

Now, for the rest of you...

If you've seen the original, British version of House of Cards(which aired on BBC in 1990) you knew it was coming. If not, Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood pushing Kate Mara's Zoe Barnes in front of the metro train IN THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE SECOND SEASON probably surprised the hell out of you. In an interview on LIVE with Kelly and Michael, Mara spilled the beans about not spilling the beans.

"I was being paid to lie," she explained, before adding that she literally told no one—not even her family members. "My family members didn't even know...I just had to be really creative with people asking how things are going on the show."

Paid to lie. Just like the politicians her Zoe Barnes covered as a reporter. Ugh, now we're sad about Zoe again. Think of a happy place, think of a happy place...
