Comedian John Oliver hosted the Crunchies last night, one of the tech industry's biggest award events, and took jabs at Silicon Valley companies right in the belly of the beast.
“It’s an honor to be in a room with such high-functioning nerds,” he said. “It seems like it’s an award show where the tech industry celebrates and quietly criticizes each other,” Oliver continued. "[It’s like the] Nobel prizes given out in an atmosphere of high school bitchiness. That’s how you all sound to me.”
