Just days after Marvelreleased the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, the House of Ideas strikes again by releasing five short character teasers for the movie, as well as the debut poster with the totally appropriate tagline: “You’re welcome.”
In these teasers, audiences are introduced to each character individually, which is good news for fans looking for more Rocket Raccoon and Groot, who are voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel respectively. Both characters were shortchanged in the theatrical trailer, but they are finally given their due here.
This is a smart strategy for Marvel because Guardians is inherently bizarre, so by slowly introducing people to this world through separate teasers, you will ease skeptical audiences into the concept of oddities like a talking raccoon and a living tree. Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters on August 1.
