During the course of the second season of Arrow, fans were introduced to a young Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, played by Grant Gustin. While he wasn’t like the familiar Scarlet Speedster we know, his last appearance on the show did have him getting struck by lightning, much like the classic Flash origin from the comics. This is set to lead the character into a direct spinoff pilot on The CW.

Up until now, details around the project have been sparse, with little known outside of the fact that Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, and Candice Patton will all appear alongside Gustin in the pilot. However, that all changed today when The CW released the first official image of Gustin in his famous Flash costume, which you can look at above.

This is almost a pitch-perfect representation of the classic Flash suit from the comics, right down to the lightning bolt design on the ear. While we only have this angle to judge the costume on, it should please most comic book fans out there. Give us your thoughts on the costume below.
