Authorities in San Diego say three children robbed an ice cream truck at gunpoint yesterday.

NBC New York reports that the driver told police he was approached by three boys around 7 p.m. After brandishing the weapon, the man says they demanded cash, which he handed over. According to police, the assailants are between the ages of 10 and 12-years-old, weighing no more than 100 pounds.

The trio fled after receiving the money, leaving the driver unharmed. NBC New York adds that the San Diego Police Department's robbery department is investigating the crime.
