By The Beard Of Zeus! "Anchorman 2" Will Get A Limited, Second, R-RATED Run

News team assemble! Again!

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. And I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, will be getting a second limited run in theaters, and this time around it'll be rated R.

Will Ferrell announced the news onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night stating: "For one week only, February 28th, we have a brand new version with 753 jokes, brand new jokes."

That's right, 753 new jokes. Ferrell said that the original cut of the movie was four hours long, but obviously no movie studio in the vicinity of their right mind would release a four hour comedy. Then the filmmakers considered cutting the movie into two parts. Ultimately, we're going to get a special one-off treat come next week.

This isn't the first time so much footage for Anchorman was filmed that an alternate cut was made. The original made use of surrogate footage and pieced together Wake Up Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie.

The New York Times got an exclusive on the news and chatted with writer and director Adam McKay over the phone. McKay revealed that the "supersized" version will be 1 hour and 59 minutes long. “This is a stitched up, Frankenstein version,” he said. “You’ll either love it or hate it.”
