New York City is still recovering from the circus created by Super Bowl XLVlll, but is it too early to wonder what the city would look like if it hosted another huge sports event?
As the New York Times reports, the city lost a bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics during Michael Bloomberg's tenure as mayor, so the Times pondered possible outcomes if New York hosted the Winter Olympics instead.
From luge and bobsled competitions traveling through Times Square to ski jumps from above the New York Public Library and Bryant Park, the renderings are rather impressive. They make the city look like a massive, futuristic playground.
