111-Year-Old Brooklyn Man Found in Duane Reade After Vanishing for Nine Hours

He was immediately taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police in New York City say a 111-year-old Brooklyn man who was missing for nine hours yesterday has been found. 

According to the New York Post, Clinton Hill resident Ernest Peronneau boarded a bus and journeyed through downtown Brooklyn before exiting and entering a Duane Reade just before 5 p.m. When employees grew concerned that he was lost, they called for help and emergency responders transported him to Long Island College Hospital for assessment.

The Post adds that police were unaware of Peronneau's location until this morning. Luckily, he's alive and well. Peronneau will celebrate another year of live in a few weeks, as he'll turn 112 on Mar. 6.
