Jimmy Fallon's come a long way from starring in films like Taxi, and this February he's going even farther when he takes the Tonight Show reins from Jay Leno. Today at the Television Critics Association press tour, the guest for the hotly anticipated debut of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (he axed Leno's preferred "with," citing "starring" as sounding "more exciting") has been revealed to be Will Smith, with musical guest U2.

While Will has a new rom-dramedy (Focus) due later this year and U2's "Ordinary Love" (from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) scored an Oscar nomination, it appears Jimmy's just calling in favors and bringing out the big guns to make his debut an event. If it's anything like his time on Late Night, it should make for an entertaining show. He also told critics that anytime his comedy BFF Justin Timberlake is "available to play," he's welcome on the Tonight Show. The first episode premieres February 17.
