A snow storm is scheduled to hit the East Coast, so New Yorkers prone to the knee-jerk overreact flocked to grocery stores to prepare for what might or might not look a scene straight out of The Day After Tomorrow. The line at Trader Joe's is so serious, you'd think people were waiting to buy weed or something.
There's nothing like impending snow to make New Yorkers line up outside Trader Joe's as if it's an exclusive club. Yeah, I was in line, too.
Self-awareness with a dash of self-deprecating humor on top; you have to love it. Also, if this rumored Snowtorious B.I.G. isn't what it's cracked up to be, at least people will have knocked their grocery shopping out of the way before the weekend.
