If you haven't heard by now, Saturday Night Live has a new cast member: Sasheer Zamata. Zamata came up in the ranks of the renown Upright Citizen's Brigade and has cultivated serious acting and writing chops. Her hire came on the tail of criticism directed at SNL and its lack of diversity amongst their talent roster. SNL is ready to show off their newest family member as Zamata makes her debut this Saturday. (Same episode as Drake—that's big.)

While we were kicking it here in the city we ran into one of Zamata's friends, Jeremy Wein, who was waiting on line to scoop tickets so he could see his friend on her debut performance. Wein is no stranger to the world of comedy, as he hosts a podcast in which he interviews some of the top names in comedy and more. Peep what he had to say in support of his friend.
