Two Students Shot at Philadelphia High School

Both students have been hospitalized.

Authorities in Philadelphia say two students were shot inside of a city high school this afternoon.

According to NBC Philadelphia, the shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. at Delaware Valley Charter School in Philadelphia's Olney section. Philadelphia Police Lt. John Stanford told NBC Philadelphia that the two students—a boy and a girl, ages 15 and 16—were shot in the arm.

A teenage boy who may or may not attend Delaware Valley Charter School is accused of pulling the gun and might have accidentally discharged it. The victims have been transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where they're said to be in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the suspect as SWAT officers combing through the surrounding neighborhood.

UPDATE: The suspect is now in custody and NBC Philadelphia reports that he is a student at the school. We will update with more information as it becomes available.
