As you've probably heard, marijuana became legally available for purchase in Colorado today. Many have been curious as to how the first day of legal weed would go in the state, but a better question is who would be the first person to buy legal, recreational weed thanks to Amendment 64. Iraq war veteran Sean Azzariti will forever be remembered as that person.
At an 8 a.m. press event Azzariti purchased 3.5 grams of Bubba Kush from Denver's 3D Cannabis Center, as well as some weed-infused truffles. He spent $59.74 total (tax included), and the Denver Post's John Ingold tweeted out his receipt, which should probably be framed somewhere.
This is history; let this sink in.
