Shia LaBeouf has been going through a pretty strange time in his life—plagiarizing artist Daniel Clowes' work, then plagiarizing a series of apologies for the initial plagiarism, to be specific—and this only adds to it. According to his Charlie Countryman co-star and Ron Weasley himself, Rupert Grint, LaBeouf's real-life acid-trip on the set of the film caused some pretty troubling behavior from the actor:
The actor famously dropped acid for his role in Charlie Countryman in front of several cast and crew members.
One of the film's stars, Rupert Grint, recalled watching the actor take the drugs on set and explained how "if anything will make you not do drugs, it's watching that."
The Harry Potter actor added during a recent interview, "He smashed the place up, got naked and kept seeing this owl."
I hope the owl was Hedwig. You know you were thinking the same thing.
LaBeouf, who recently tweeted that he was "retiring from all public life" after the plagiarism scandal, revealed that he dropped acid on the set of the film back in 2012, saying, "Sometimes, it does get real...too real for a (director) who's trying to keep a diplomatic set." Now, we know: He was talking about seeing owls.
