Last week it was revealed that 20th Century Fox was already moving ahead with a third installment in its rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise. Now, according to Coming Soon, the studio has set July 29, 2016 as the official release date for the film. This is consistent with the earlier reports that the studio is looking to film the sequel almost immediately after this year’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters.

Additionally, the studio has also set aside February 13, 2015 as the release date for director Gil Kenan’s remake of Poltergeist. This date will put the movie against stiff competition from Spongebob SquarePants 2 and the adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey.

Between more Apes and a redo on Poltergeist, which movie interests you more?
