Rats in New York City feel as though they're just entitled to certain liberties as the city's human residents. Anyone curious about the rat population in any given area will take comfort in knowing that an interactive tool has been created to locate the rodents.
The Rat Informational Portal (yup, R.I.P.) lets users search rat violations and inspection results from recent years according to zip code, block number and address. However, be warned that it only includes information drudged up by city inspections, not instances of individual rats being spotted. There's another tool for that, but both can be used to make you a rat-sighting connoisseur—assuming that's what you want to be.
