It looks like Amazon may be planning something big with their new pilot. According to Deadline, the site's streaming service is in the process of finalizing a deal to give a pilot order to "one of the most ambitious projects yet" for the site, Hand of God, which stars Ron Perlman, and would be directed by World War Z's Marc Forster. Here's a look at the plot:

Hand Of God centers on the powerful Judge Harris Pernell (Perlman), a hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl on the side who has a religious awakening and starts having visions and hearing voices through his ventilator-bound son that could be God speaking to him.

So, y'know, normal stuff. Filming is reportedly set to begin in March, with Forster, Perlman and Burn Notice's Ben Watkins executive producing. As the project is still in the early stages, it's not clear when the show would be available on Amazon Prime—but the streaming site is set to release some new pilots soon.
