With the superhero movie bubble growing each and every year, Hollywood is looking to fill the demand by putting every comic book property available in front of cameras in hopes of a big payday. Nothing epitomizes this train of thought more than 20th Century Fox’s attempts to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise less than a decade after the original series crashed and burned with critics and fans.

Now, according to Variety, the project is actually gaining some momentum after the site learned that Simon Kinberg has finished his final script rewrites for the movie. With a script complete, the studio is apparently looking to start casting the film in the coming weeks. The site is reporting that Miles Teller is among the actors being tested for the role of the Four’s leader, Reed Richards. Game of ThronesKit Harington and Richard Madden are also said to be in the running.

Currently, Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are the only known actresses testing for the role of Susan Storm, Reed’s wife. Michael B. Jordan is seen as the frontrunner for the role of Johnny Storm. There is still no word yet on who Fox is looking at for The Thing.

While it may seem like everything is coming together on The Fantastic Four, it's important to remember that nearly every other major blockbuster with a 2015 release date already has a cast and script in place. Hopefully director Josh Trank can brush off the rushed production and do the property some justice.

The Fantastic Four will hit theaters on June 19, 2015.
