"Elder Scrolls Online": It's Good to be the Emperor

In an interview with OXM Elder Scrolls Online game director Paul Sage detailed how lowly players can hope to become Emperor of the massively multiplayer online world. At least part of it.

By picking player-vs-player battles, killing foes, healing allies and taking control of a Keep grants players Alliance Points. Keep knocking down those Keeps around the Imperial City and the Alliance member with the most points is crowned Emperor, unlocking a mighty set of bonuses for the player and their peers.

"Players who become Emperor will get a full skill line that they keep throughout the rest of their lives in The Elder Scrolls Online," Sage said. "It won't be easy to become Emperor, but we think people will be glad they worked for it."

Gamers can't co-op their way to being the Emperor though, they'll need to engage in player-vs-player battles so nobody is going to be becoming top dog through their even-handed diplomatic skills, unless it involves a sword. Check out the Character Progression trailer below:
