It's been nearly five months since we first got a teaser for James Franco's upcoming Child of God adaptation, which is based upon Cormac McCarthy's 1973 classic book of the same name—and it looks like we're just now getting a full trailer. Unfortunately it still doesn't have a US release date, so it could be a while before any of us see this one in theaters, but hey, at least you all have a trailer to watch until then. Small consolation.

Anyway, Franco's adaptation stars Scott Haze as the story's central character Lester Ballard. If you're not familiar with the plot of the book, here's a quick rundown: Basically Lester there is a necrophiliac, who was shunned from his family and lives in caves, where his only companionship are the decomposing corpses of his victims. The book depicts Lester's slow descent into complete and utter social isolation, as he goes from a cave-dweller of sorts to full on serial killer.

So, will Franco's adaptation do it justice? Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.
