Friday's revelation that Mayor Bill de Blasio sometimes eats pizza with a fork (in public, where people can see him) exposed the new mayor to a firing squad of ridicule. It was like that time on Parks & Recreation where Ron Swanson tried to shame Tom Haverford into immediately ceasing his two-handed bowling technique.

                                                 

Mayor de Blasio offered an explanation, even playing it off with a sense of humor:

Still, he gained another critic: Sir Patrick Stewart. The man who played Capt. Jean-Luc Picard and Professor Charles Xavier—who just ate his first slice of pizza in May—was not impressed by the mayor's technique:
