Today in genius promotional stunts: Will Ferrell randomly visited the KX news station in North Dakota last night, fully in character as Ron Burgundy—mustache, red suit, slurred scotch drawl—and anchored their actual news broadcast for the night. As one would expect from North Dakota, most of the stories are too mundane to give Ferrell anything to really sink his teeth into, but it's a great gag nonetheless, and one his co-anchors certainly seemed to enjoy. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues bows on December 18, let's hope Ferrell and the News Team have more brilliant stunts planned in the interim.
