There's an East Village Restaurant Dedicated to Nuggets

Greatest idea ever.

The Nugget Spot (230 E 14th St.) satisfies the fantasies of anyone in love with the idea of a restaurant that focuses entirely on nuggets. The restaurant, which opened in the East Village back in October, serves everything from cheeses to meats fried to tiny perfection.

Whole pieces of hormone-free meat are used and customers have the option of chicken, catfish, pork or mozzarella in quantities of eight for $7. Nuggets are coated in either coconut, pretzel and traditional breading, and a variety of sauces ranging from the standard barbecue and honey mustard to spicy tomato or roasted pepper ranch are available.

French fries or biscuits are available as side options, but there are healthier choices like Brussels sprouts, as well. The Nugget Spot is open from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
