In a shocking turn of events, authorities in San Francisco say a robber was accidentally killed when a bullet fired by his partner ricocheted off their victim's face, then struck him.
On Dec. 14, a group of robbers accosted the victim and ordered him to hand over his cell phone. While members of the group rifled through the victim's belongings, another pulled out a gun and shot him in the face, despite his compliance. After the bullet hit the victim, it struck 16-year-old Clifton Chatman's face, killing him instantly.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, while Chatman was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter was arrested last Thursday and charged with suspicion of murder and attempted robbery.
