If you were hoping to start manging your personal cloud for your Pokémon collection, looks like you're going to have to wait a little longer, as Nintendo has announced that the 3DS' Pokémon Bank and Pokémon Transporter apps has been delayed.

The subscription-based management apps, originally scheduled to release Dec. 27, have been pushed back over high volumes of activity of the Nintendo Network clogging up both the Wii U and the 3DS. Nintendo apologized for the delay, saying that players had been having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs as well as using the eShop to download content.

The launch of the Pokémon X & Y-compatible Bank and Transporter, which allow players to manage up to 3000 pokémon online for a $5 annual fee, have been delayed until "further notice".
