The NY Daily News reports that a 12-year-old Queens boy suffered a stab wound to his stomach after an altercation with a friend over an Xbox console. The tween is reported to have accused his 13-year-old neighbor of stealing his Xbox and confronted him. The two got physical and the 13-year-old went for a butter knife. The 12-year-old tried to grab it from him and ended up accidentally stabbing himself in the stomach.
The young gamer was taken to an area hospital and later released for minor injuries while his mom filed a police report for menacing on the older kid. “He never has a problem or beef with anybody,” Doreen White, a 62-year-old neighbor said of the youngster. “I never hear him out here fighting.”
