At this point, when a teaser for a Christopher Nolan film drops, you can assume before watching that it will only do just that: tease. The director is famously secretive about his film's premises, so with a year to go before Interstellar actually drops, of course the first look is barely a look at all. You'll remember that the first teaser for The Dark Knight just had audio bits of Batman, The Joker and Alfred talking over an enlarged image of the Bat-symbol. Inception's just featured shots of Leonardo DiCaprio looking pensieve and troubled, to the tune of Hans Zimmer's soon-to-be infamous crashing score.

Now we have Interstellar, whose plot will apparently revolve around a wormhole and time travel, but you'll see none of that here, nor the sprawling cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace and regular Nolan players Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine. Just lead star, Matthew McConaughey, narrating something deep and profound about space over footage of old, real-life NASA control rooms and two or three scenes from the actual movie, that tell us nothing about the actual movie. But this being Christopher Nolan, you're going to watch it three times in a row for clues anyway. Interstellar impacts theaters on Nov 7.
