Who Knew Shooting a Woman Was the Way to Her Heart?

Love and a bullet.

A hunting accident may have been one of the best things to happen to Audrey Mayo and Matthew Tyler Webb, even though Mayo is still in danger of losing her right leg.

On Nov. 21, the 24-year-old Mayo decided to join the 23-year-old Webb when he went to hunt some deer (how romantic). Webb told the Times Free Press that she thought she heard Webb call her name, but when he heard the rustling noise, he opened fire. Upon hearing her screams of agony, authorities say he rushed over and tried to wrap his jacket around her wound.

Webb, who admitted to being high at the time, was arrested for firing a gun too close to a highway. Mayo underwent surgery that will require her to stay off the leg for three months in addition to nerve damage that she'll have to deal with for the rest of her life.

Mayo and Webb had only known each other for two months at the time of the shooting. The incident has apparently only strengthened their bond, as Webb has reportedly moved into her mother's house to help care for her.

Her brother-in-law, Jesse Greer, had a clever assessment of modern love in Lafayette, Ga. for the Times Free Press: "Cupid doesn't use a bow and arrow anymore. He uses an SKS."

Mayo says she wants to find the bullet and make it into a necklace. This is real love. When's the wedding?
