The Police Can't Save You From a Voodoo Curse

The law can't do anything for you.

How much can having legal documentation of the alleged voodoo curse that's been placed upon you actually help? Last month, a 35-year-old man in Fort Piece, Fla. told authorities that he thought he had been cursed; he sought police assistance because he wanted it documented, just in case he started behaving strangely. You know, like how someone who had been cursed would behave.

The man added that he suspected the curse was placed on him about a year ago by other members of the Haitian community, and that the curse was orchestrated to steal his personal information. Voodoo is apparently the new aid to identity theft, even though he hasn't experienced any misfortune yet.

This apparently happens so often in the area that police just humor it.
