Check out this new video from the developers of Elder Scrolls Online detailing character progression and some great looking gameplay.

As explained in the trailer, players won’t be pigeonholed into one skill path or another, users can build exactly the kind of eclectic character they're looking for. Want to be a great mage? Just pick up a staff and start wielding or switch to a sword half way through, the choice is up to you. Players will progress up a skill tree to finally unlock Ultimate Powers to do deal some serious damage.

Have too much free time after completely exploring the world of Skyrim? The Elder Scrolls Online beta is now available. When many online games are switching to a free-to-play model, Elder Scrolls Online's monthly subscription aims to give players the most of their money but will the ambitious content of ESO make it worth it? That remains to be seen.
