Last month, Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J. (for the time being), drew sympathy in the form of cash donations from people after sharing her story of allegedly being denied a tip because she's a lesbian. Morales vowed to donate the money to the Wounded Warriors Project, which she did not do.

This revelation came as the public learned that Morales seems to have lied about damn near everything, including not receiving a tip. After originally sticking to her story, she's finally refunding some of the money.

According to Gothamist, at least three people who gave money to a PayPal account in her name claim the money was returned to them this week. Britney Stilgenbauer of Tucson, Ariz., who urged Morales to set up the account, was among those to receive a refund. She told NBC New York that she hopes "[Morales'] heart was in the right place and she's sorry." Still, at least one person who made a donation says they have yet to receive a refund.

Morales remains on suspension from Gallop Asian Bistro pending the outcome of an investigation, which seems to have already been carried out in the public. Good luck getting another job.
