So, if you ever find yourself alone at night in a dark desert, listening to strange frequencies on a radio in your car, here's a suggestion: Do not get out of your vehicle and start calling out to see if anyone is around. That is not a good idea, because something like this could happen. In a new clip for the upcoming thriller Banshee Chapter, one girl find this out firsthand—and it's not pretty.

Written and Directed by Blair Erickson, Banshee Chapter follows the story of a young journalist (Katia Winter) who, with the help of a "rogue counter-culture writer" (Ted Levine), ends up swept into the world of "top-secret government chemical research and the mystery of a disturbing radio signal of unknown origin" while trying to investigate her friend's (Michael McMillian) disappearance. From the official synopsis: "A fast-paced thriller blending fact and fiction, Banshee Chapter is based on real documents, actual test subject testimony, and uncovered secrets about covert programs run by the CIA." Creeped out, yet?

You can check out the clip above. Banshee Chapter is currently available on video on demand, and will officially hit theaters on January 10th.
