The weekend has been saved.
After the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue seized Stadium Club (2127 Queens Chapel Rd NE ) on Thursday to collect a six-figure tax debt from one of owner James "Tru" Redding's other properties, the bill was paid yesterday and the strip club is open once again. Redding owed over $100,000 in back taxes from his H Street restaurant, TruOrleans, which closed in September. The club was in the process of being sold when it was seized.
A source reportedly told the Washington Business Journal that $40,000 of the debt was paid in singles. Cash is cash.
