Anyone that’s played Telltale’s Walking Dead (or The Wolf Among Among Us) knows that the gameplay that responds to your own actions and decisions can be a pretty interesting thing.
Not many horror games take this route – aside from a handful of indie titles, Silent Hill Shattered Memories was one of the few bigger genre games to experiment with the formula, and even its usage was slight. So, conceptually anyway, the idea behind Sound of Silence, is interesting.
The game premise, the tried-and-true lone protagonist who retreats to familiar ground to find things have changed, apparently changes dynamically depending on how you play. As you can see from the trailer, the game looks pretty early still – the rudimentary visuals look like pre-alpha footage – but there’s a demo coming next year.
