If you’ve come to the next-gen console race late you may have been disappointed by pre-order sales of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 being very hard, if not impossible, to find. Sony is giving gamers a chance to buy one of 444 consoles during the midnight launch event in New York City on November 15. Oh, and there is at least one guy in line since Monday, good luck.

PlayStation senior director of product publicity Jennifer Clark announced on the PlayStation Blog that 444 units will be for sale at The Standard Hotel, High Line with lines starting immediately at the Washington and Little West 12th. Despite years of screaming Sony doesn’t want your cash, but make sure you have a credit card in hand.

PlayStation 4’s midnight launch even will also feature an arcade with 30 PS4 kiosks as well as interactive lighting and part the hotel turned into the shimmering electric blue of the PlayStation 4.

Sony is also projecting games on the side of The Standard with developers and producers on hand to play them. Attendees will also have the chance to get some hands-on time with games but which ones has not be revealed yet. Can’t make it to the big apple? Spike TV will be broadcasting the launch, live starting at 11pm ET.

The PlayStation 4 drops on November 15, keep an eye on your favorite retailer as new consoles become available. Also let us all feel collectively bad for that guy who’s been camped out in front of the Sony Store in NYC, please pack it up and move it to the High Line.
