Last night, eight people were killed after police helicopter crashed into a crowded pub in Glasgow.

According to the New York Times, five people inside of the Clutha were killed, as well as three people who traveling in the helicopter. The crashed occured around 10:30 p.m. while a ska band was performing inside of the bar. Chief Constable Stephen House said that 14 of the 32 people who were hospitalized suffered serious injuries. 

Chief deputy constable Rose Fitzpatrick added that rescue teams were still "working hard to recover people still inside the building and we will make further details available when we have them." Fitzpatrick also said that it's still too early to pinpoint why the Eurocopter EC135 T2 crashed.
