It's Kevin Hart's time to shine. The damn near omnipresent comedian is stepping up for his first lead role with Ride Along, a farcical Training Day riff which finds Hart's lowly security guard sitting shotgun with his fiancée's badass cop brother to prove his worth.
Basically it's a vehicle to allow Hart to do what he does best: freak out at things in a high-pitched voice, while co-star Ice Cube continues his winning wry, gruff detective shtick from 21 Jump Street.
