On the 50th anniversary on John F. Kennedy'sassassination, Politico recalled some of his favorite locations in D.C. Kennedy lived at seven homes before moving into the White House, most notably 3260 N St. NW in Georgetown, his residence when he first began his career as a senator from Massachusetts.

Kennedy also met Jacqueline Bouvier, who he eventually married, at a dinner party in Georgetown. He loved to eat at Martin's Tavern (1264 Wisconsin Ave. NW), where he's rumored to have proposed to her in the third booth, which has since been dubbed "The Proposal Booth."
