For reasons unknown, Blizzard has decided to release its classic adventure Blackthorne for free online for Battle.net account holders. Blackthorne, which bears a pretty striking resemblance to Flashback (but in a more, uh, Blizzard-y world, so there’s more skulls and whatnot), initially hit PC and SNES back in 1994.
If you remember it from back then it was probably one of those games you always thought looked really cool (dig the rockin' Jim Lee cover art!) and thus you probably wanted to (or did) play it. Plus you have a shotgun. And it’s violent. These are big deals when you’re 10.
Anyway, if you have a Battle.net account, it’s yours, so enjoy.
