Early yesterday morning, police officers discovered 10 kilos of cocaine after pulling a vehicle over in East Williamsburg because of its broken taillight. Worst night ever, all because of a minor malfunction. As police were issuing the driver a ticket, they noticed the strong aroma of marijuana, then recognized the driver: 25-year-old Brian Espinal, who already had an outstanding warrant.

After searching Espinal's vehicle, they found 26 bags of cocaine and two bags of marijuana, in addition to the 10 kilos of cocaine and $8,000 in cash hidden in the trunk. Espinal was charged with both felony and misdemeanor drug possession, driving with an inadequate plate lamp and driving a vehicle without signal lights.
