Vice, always in search of the underbelly of history, was inspired by the pirate shenanigans of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag to go down to the Caribbean and blow some stuff up, swim with sharks and get drunk on some crazy-strong illegal rum.

In its three-part series inspired by Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Vice takes on the common themes of the pirate life: guns, booze and booty. Yet does it in the wonderfully subversive and fairly incompetent way we know and love. This first video titled Rum, Guns & Gallows focuses on some of the most famous aspects of the Golden Age of Piracy, including some of the men who made their mark on history, a big bloody mark.
